Aeroelasticity Flutter Prediction


Flutter is probably the most worrying of all aeroelastic phenomena. Flutter airspeed and flutter frequencies are very difficult to predict as flutter involves the coupling of vibrational modes, elastic forces and aerodynamic forces. If you are interested on flutter prediction by means of mathematical methods or computational means, there is the possibility of research on this field. The methodology will be applied to innovative aircraft or astronautics design concepts. In addition, flight simulator and wind tunnel will be available for your investigations.
