Aircraft Design

Computational Aircraft Design

If you are interested on computer-aided engineering (CAE) of aircraft design, there is the possibility of research on this area. In addition to preliminary design and iterative procedures for detailed design, there is the need of structural, aeroelastic and aerodynamics analyses. CAE software is used as a valid tool for assessing objective novel aircraft designs as well as traditional methods. In addition, flight simulator and wind tunnel will be available for your investigations.

Please contact Dr J.L. Curiel-Sosa (email) for an informal discussion on proposed PhD research -or similar- in this field.
